Green beans from the little white pot (planted another bunch in the garden, and will see if they have time to fruit before the summer is over)
Can you believe it? Real broccoli...
That I used to make this salad from the "Simply in Season" cookbook.
And now to the fruit trees that I can't take total credit for, but we did do some major pruning jobs on these old, neglected trees. I did two big batches of dehydrated apples, after freezing a bunch and making some apple sauce. It's shocking how much they shrink down when dehydrated, and how easy the are to eat. All that work...

Wow!! I'm really impressed. I don't think I know anyone who's ever successfully grown broccoli before. Also you dehydrated apples look very tasty!
You are an inspiration! I, too, feel as though my garden has been successful even though it's mostly volunteer. We've eaten beans, peas and lettuce and soon cucumbers and eventually squash and tomatoes. But you are way more ambitious than I as far as your apple drying...etc....
Lovely! Does this mean that you're going to bring some tasty samples for us if you come to Victoria next week? :)
Wow, I read the whole blog and am very impressed. Good job!
I have never been able to plant a second crop of radishes although every year I have tried. They turn out like yours, all top and woody bottom.
I finally learned this year that it is usually too hot in the Okanagan for a 2nd crop as they like cooler weather. If I try it again, I will plant a week later rather than wait until the 1st crop is done.
About your earwigs: So much for the old wives tail about planting marigolds in your garden to keep the pests away. lol
Anxious to hear if your made $$.
